It is documented that we are losing veterans at a rate of 22 a day from suicide. This, and the many calls I take daily from those struggling with PTSD has given the fuel to take action in our communities and reach out to those in need.

We are having an informational meeting Tuesday, September 1st at the Logsdon Community Center located at 2400 Friendship Drive, Owensboro (behind The Springs) about starting Warrior Helping Warrior groups and Warrior Family groups in the Owensboro area.

  • 5-7pm for those who may be interested in facilitating/leading a group
  • 7-9pm for those who are interested in participating in a group.

These groups are for anyone who has served or is still serving and their families (teens and older).  Research is showing that warriors who struggle with combat trauma and meet together regularly for accountability, growth and support are receiving life changing results.  At the same time, family members are receiving needed support and education on living with the changes war brings home.  We would be honored to have you come and join us and hear more about these groups and how you and your family can get involved.

If you would like more information our website is: www.Warrior180.org, you can email us at: connect@warrior180.org .  We hope to see you Tuesday September 1st
